With this exchange of banners we want to give folk dance groups the opportunity to draw attention to their group or home page on other folk dance pages.

The principle

The webmasters of the folk dance groups taking part in the exchange of banners create on their own pages an HTML code which activates the data of a web banner of another folk dance group (see below). For each banner on their own home page there will be a copy of their own banner on the pages of the other participating groups. The exchange of their own banner with the banners of the other goups will be on a 1:1 basis.
The format of the banners is 400 x 40 pixels.

The exchange of banners is only open to folk dance groups or pages which have folk dance as their main theme.

Further, only banners which are not confusing, and which demonstrate a clear relationship to the home page to which they are linked are acceptable. Fake banners of any kind are not allowed.

The code of practice for the banners which we have prepared may not be altered. Only attributes of the text link with the exchange banner may be amended in order to meet the requirements of the home page on to which the exchange banner is being loaded. Deleting the text link is not allowed, as this is the only possibility to advertise the banner exchange on the 1:1 basis – and of course as many groups as possible should take part in the exchange of banners in order to make it as attractive as possible.
