The Children's Group
Our children's group is the perfect introduction to the world of folk dancing! With lots of fun and movement, the children learn traditional dances from Germany and across Europe – age-appropriate, playful, and always accompanied by music. In addition to dancing, group games, small performances, and creative activities are also part of the program, helping to strengthen the sense of community.
The focus is on the joy of movement, rhythm, and shared experiences. Along the way, the children develop not only their dancing skills but also body awareness, a sense of rhythm, and team spirit.
New children are always very welcome – just come by and join in!

The Teen Group
In the Teen Group of Danzdeel Salzkotten, young people aged 11 to 15 dance together. With great enthusiasm, we learn new German and European folk dances during our weekly group sessions. Through regular performances and festivals at home and abroad, we have the opportunity to present what we’ve learned and build international friendships.

The Oldie Group
The Oldie Group of Danzdeel Salzkotten is for everyone who enjoys dancing and maybe has some experience. Dancers aged 16 and older meet here to share their enthusiasm for traditional German and European folk dances. Alongside learning new choreographies, the focus is above all on having fun and moving together.
Whether lively couple dances, energetic line dances, or impressive stage performances – the Oldies take part in many events both in the region and abroad. Along the way, new friendships and wonderful memories are created through shared trips, celebrations, and festivals.
New members are always very welcome – anyone who loves to dance and wants to be part of a vibrant community has come to the right place!

Choir
The choir of Danzdeel Salzkotten enriches our association’s musical repertoire with multi-voice singing and a great deal of passion. We perform traditional folk songs from Germany and across Europe, as well as modern pieces and specially arranged dance songs that complement the stage performances of our dance groups.
For us, singing together means not only making music but also sharing joy and a strong sense of community. New voices – whether soprano, alto, tenor, or bass – are always very welcome!
Performances at regional events, concerts, and international gatherings are a regular part of our annual schedule, making the choir an important part of the Danzdeel family.

Music Group
Our music group is the heart of many performances by Danzdeel Salzkotten. It accompanies the dancers live with traditional melodies from Germany and across Europe – from lively polkas and Scottish reels to gentle waltzes. In addition to the classic accordion, instruments such as violin, guitar, flute, double bass, and various percussion instruments are also used.
Whether during rehearsals, festivals, or international gatherings – the music group always creates a great atmosphere and contributes significantly to the distinctive sound of Danzdeel.
